26-year old small forward Luol Deng is off to a good start for the Bulls so far this year.  Deng has played in 3 games (all starts) for the Bulls so far this year and he is averaging 40.0 minutes, 18.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.o blocked shot per game.  Deng is really filling up the stat sheet so far this year and he is the Bulls’ leading scorer as of right now.  He is a great team player and he fits right in as one of the main assets on the Bulls.

The Bulls worked some magic last in this game last night.  With the Lakers up 87-86, Luol Deng stole the ball from Kobe Bryant with 20 seconds left in the game.  That set up Derrick Rose with a runner that he connected on with 4 seconds left, to steal a win away from the Lakers.  Derrick Rose led the way for the Bulls in this game with 22 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists and 1 blocked shot.  Luol Deng filled up the stat sheet in this game with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 1 blocked shot.  Carlos Boozer also had a decent game, finishing up with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  The Bulls are now 1-0 on the season.

The Chicago Bulls waive Keith Bogans

Blogged under Big Bulls News,Bloglockers,Comings & Goings,Front Page,General by admin on Saturday 17 December 2011 at 1:49 pm

The Bulls have waived 31-year old shooting guard Keith Bogans.  Bogans played in 82 games (all starts) for the Bulls last year and he averaged 17.8 minutes, 4.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.  He also shot 38% from three point range last year and the Bulls may miss that out of the starting unit.  Bogans has now played in 586 games (308 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 22.1 minutes, 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.  Bogans should be able to find a new job before the 2010-11 starts, but the Bulls aren’t going to miss him as they have replaced him at shooting guard with Richard  Hamilton.

The Chicago Bulls waive Jannero Pargo

Blogged under Bloglockers,Comings & Goings,Front Page,General by admin on Saturday 17 December 2011 at 1:46 pm

The Bulls have waived 32-year old guard Jannero Pargo.  He didn’t play in any games for the Bulls last year.  In 2009-10, Pargo played in 63 games (5 starts) for the Bulls and he averaged 13.1 minutes, 5.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.  He only shot 34.6% from the floor in 2009-10 for the Bulls, and that is pathetic.  Pargo played in 165 games (6 starts) in his four years with the Bulls and he averaged 13.8 minutes, 6.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.  This is no loss for the Bulls.

The Bulls have signed 33-year old shooting guard Richard Hamilton to a 3-year, $15 million dollar contract to take over as the new starting shooting guard.  Hamilton played in 55 games (39 starts) for the Pistons last year and he averaged 27.2 minutes, 14.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.  He has now played in 843 games (710 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 32.9 minutes, 17.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.  Hamilton fills a huge hole on the Bulls and this was an outstanding signing for them.

Joakim Noah is going to try to make up for lost time for the Chicago Bulls in 2011-12

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Position Previews by admin on Thursday 1 December 2011 at 2:53 pm

26-year old center Joakim Noah missed a lot of time due to injury last year.  Noah played in only 48 games (all starts) for the Bulls last year and he averaged 32.8 minutes, 11.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.5 blocked shots per game.  He has now played in 266 games (188 starts) in his first four years in the NBA and he is averaging 26.2 minutes, 8.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 blocked shots per game.  Noah plays all-out on both ends of the basketball court and it injects energy into this teammates.  25-year old Omer Asik will be Noah’s backup in 2011-12.  He played in 82 games (0 starts) for the Bulls as a rookie last year and he averaged 12.1 minutes, 2.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.  Asik has a nice upside.
