The Bulls were outstanding in the 4th quarter as they outscored the Suns 37-19 which is why they won last night. Luol Deng led the way for the Bulls with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists. Kirk Hinrich also had a great game with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 34 assists. Ben Gordon also filled it up last night with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The Bulls were sharp shooting all night long as they hit 50.6% of their shots from the floor as a team!

The Bulls played hard to the end but just fell a tad short last night. Ben Gordon led the way with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Luol Deng also had a really solid night with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Kirk Hinrich was also good last night with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Bulls get shut down in 86-77 loss to the Kings in Sacramento

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Friday 9 February 2007 at 1:31 am

The Bulls only shot 33.3% from the floor last night and that’s why they lost! Can’t blame Luol Deng for the loss as he scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out 3 assists and stole the ball 3 times. Kirk Hinrich also had a solid game with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

Luol Deng picking his game up this season

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Steppin Up by Nothing but Net on Friday 9 February 2007 at 12:30 am

Luol Deng is one of the most improved players in the NBA this season. He’s been getting more involved in the offense this season and he’s been a great finisher on the fast break. Deng is averaging 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season. The Bulls must resist the temptation to trade Deng and more for Pau Gasol. While Gasol is a fantastic player, the Bulls don’t need to be trading away their young players who have grown into a pretty good team together. Deng is hitting 52.2% of his shots from the floor and 76.2% from the free throw line, which are good numbers for any NBA player let alone a young one. Deng also has room to improve his game so the sky is the limit for him as a player.

Air Jordan 20 years later

Blogged under Big Bulls News,Bloglockers,Front Page by InsideScoop23 on Thursday 8 February 2007 at 11:07 am

Remember Air Jordan 20 years ago… He’s Vintage Already!

Â

Word on the street is that Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co. and Nike have teamed up to recreate the jersey MJ wore in the 1987 Slam Dunk competition, commemorating the 20th anniversary of his first slam dunk title when he took off from the foul line and bested Dominique Wilkins.

Â

The authentic vintage jersey is a ’87 Chicago Bulls road red with MJ’s #23 in black font. Apparently the jersey will be manufactured to the exact specification of the original and will include special labeling to reflect the order in which it was produced….only be 500 of these bad boys will be made.

Â

According to CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell’s blog… “they come encased in a white handmade wooden collector’s box with faux lizard skin interior. The jersey will be unveiled next week in Las Vegas — the site of the NBA All-Star Game — and will be sold in 23 selected outlets, including the NBA Store in New York City and various Niketown outlets.”
Â

Wow, this is also the first time a non-Nike product will be feature in Niketown outlets.

Bulls rookies not getting much playing time but they have big talent

Blogged under Front Page,Rookie Report by Nothing but Net on Saturday 3 February 2007 at 6:30 pm

The Bulls rookies have not gotten much court time because of all the veteran forwards on their roster. But when the kids have played they have done well. Power Forward Tyrus Thomas is a player. He has played in 40 games and has averaged 10.4 minutes, 3.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists. Thomas would start on a lot of teams and the Bulls depth will really help them late in the season and in the playoffs.

Small Forward Thabo Sefolosha is also a very active player that deserves more playing time, but he’s also blocked by vets. He has played in 42 games and is averaging 12.4 minutes, 3.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists.

These guys have a bright future for the Bulls.

The Bulls fall 110-98 to the Clippers in Los Angeles

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Thursday 1 February 2007 at 1:04 am

The Bulls just didn’t want this game as much as the Clippers did and that showed in the 4th quarter. Kirk Hinrich had a fantastic game with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 10 assists and 3 steals. Luol Deng also had a solid night with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Ben Gordon had an off-night shooting the ball (5 of 15) but he still wound up with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
