Shooting Guard

Ben Gordon is a little on the small side and has problems with defense against bigger guards. But, Gordon is a big-time offensive player and more than makes up for his faults. Gordon is an excellent shooter that hits a higher percentage of his 3’s (42.1%) than his other shots from the field. Gordon is also a dead-eye from the free-throw line (82.5%). Gordon has averaged 16.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in his two seasons in the NBA.

Veteran Adrian Griffin will back up Gordon and he’s a tough defensive player that will give the Bulls a little different look when he’s on the floor. Griffin has only averaged 4.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals in his 388 game NBA career.

Point Guards

The Bulls are really set at point guard. Kirk Hinrich is the starter and he just seems to get better every season. Hinrich is a little more of a scoring point guard than a pure one that always looks to pass first. Hinrich is a great hustle player and that fires up his team alot when he dives for balls on the floor. Hinrich has made himself into a good shooter, even though he’s only hit 40.2% of his shots for his career. Part of that is because he shoots alot of three-pointers and makes a good percentage of them (37.1%). He also is adept at making his free-tree throws, nailing 80.5% of them for his career. Hinrich only averages 3.6 rebounds per game, but that’s because he’s usually quite a ways from the basket. Hinrich averages 6.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game, which are both impressive numbers.

Chris Duhon is the back-up, and he’s more of a pure, pass-first point guard. Duhon only averages 7.3 point per game over his young career, but he gives the Bulls quality play every time he’s only the court. Duhon is a good 3-point shooter, nailing 35.7% of his 3’s for his career. Duhon also averages 4.9 assists and 1.0 steal per game.

The Bulls point guards are an almost perfect pair.
